The Riverside Metro Center, owned by Chippewa Enterprises, was faced with a dilemma. Their 130,000-square-foot building located in downtown Riverside, CA was consuming too much energy, which translated to high energy costs. The project involved replacing 5,000 old fluorescent tube lights with LED tube lights. The result was huge energy and cost savings for the building owner. Not only did they save on lighting costs, but they also received approximately $25,000 in rebates from the energy company after the project completion.
The LED lights used on the project are up to 90% more energy-efficient than other lights and provide a brighter and cleaner light. They generate substantially less heat than fluorescent lights, which reduces air conditioning needs and results in even greater energy savings. Additionally, our LED lights can burn continuously for up to 50,000 hours without being replaced.
